Festive markets planned for town
Festive markets are taking over Kettering town centre in the run-up to Christmas.
The events, organised by Kettering Town Council, will feature hot street food, mulled wine, local produce, cakes and sweet treats as well as a range of artisan crafts and gifts.

Festive freebie for designated drivers
Designated drivers are being offered free drinks at Kettering pubs this Christmas.
The driver scheme allows the driver of a group to get a soft drink, as part of a round.
The initiative is being run by Kettering Pub Watch and supported by Kettering Town Council, to help reduce drink driving during the festive period.

New Christmas tree festival comes to Kettering
A Kettering church will be filled with festive trees this Christmas in a new event for the town.
The Mayor of Kettering is hosting the first-ever Kettering Christmas Tree Festival, in partnership with St Andrews Church.

Kettering ready to light up for Christmas
The full details of Kettering's Christmas Lights Switch On event have now been released.
The lights will be switched on by local hero Denise Mackay, who set up Johnny's Happy Place in Kettering.

Knife amnesty box goes up in town centre
A new box for people to get rid of illegal knives has been installed in Kettering.
The amnesty box has been set up to reduce knife crime in the town and give people a safe way of getting rid of their weapons.

Elderly can get help with winter fuel bills
Grants to help with winter fuel bills are being offered to elderly people living alone this winter.
The money is for residents in the town of Kettering and Barton Seagrave who must fit with the charity's criteria.
