Kettering ready to light up for Christmas
The full details of Kettering's Christmas Lights Switch On event have now been released.
The lights will be switched on by local hero Denise Mackay, who set up Johnny's Happy Place in Kettering.
She was put forward for the honour in the Hunt for a Hero appeal and chosen by the Mayor after hundreds of local people nominated her for the honour.

Knife amnesty box goes up in town centre
A new box for people to get rid of illegal knives has been installed in Kettering.
The amnesty box has been set up to reduce knife crime in the town and give people a safe way of getting rid of their weapons.

Elderly can get help with winter fuel bills
Grants to help with winter fuel bills are being offered to elderly people living alone this winter.
The money is for residents in the town of Kettering and Barton Seagrave who must fit with the charity's criteria.
Applicants must not have more than £325 income per week, excluding benefits, they must be over the statutory retirement age of 66 and live alone.
